Durham, UK, July 8:Suchitra Ramesh, a regular on the Indian domestic circuit in the Hero Women’s Pro Golf Tour, made the cut at the Trust Golf Links Series at the Par-73 Ramside Hall Golf Club. Suchitra, who is trying to play her way into the Ladies European Tour through the LET Access Series shot rounds of
76-77 and was T-32 after two rounds. The Top-50 and ties made the cut,
Thailand’s 18-year-old Chanettee Wannasaen fired a second round of nine-under 64 to lead by six shots. She shot 71 in the first round.
The Thai, who won six times in her homeland before coming to compete in Europe shot the lowest round of her career as well as the course record with 64.
Germany’s 16-year-old Chiara Noja who carded a round of three-under 70 with seven birdies was lying second. She had a first round of 71. The Dubai-based teenage star, second on the LETAS Order of Merit, is on a total score of -5 for the tournament putting her in contention once again.
Norway’s Tina Mazarino carded seven-under 66 which puts her in a tie for third at -4 after day two. She shares third place with British duo Hannah McCook from Scotland and Emily Toy from England.
