Diksha Dagar finishes T-10 in Moss Vale event in Australia

Moss Vale, NSW, Jan 29:Diksha Dagar finished in a tie for 10th place at the Aoyuan International Moss Vale Pro-am. She shot a second round card of 75 to add to the first round 70, when she was tied second.

India’s other player, Astha Madan, shot 74-73 and finished T14 at the Par-73 Moss Vale Golf Club

The two-day 36-hole Pro-Am event had 61 professionals and purse of $30,000.

Diksha was T2 after the first day, but slipped down the leaderboard on the second, while Astha was T20 after the first day.

Earlier, Diksha on her current tour in Australia was T12 in ALPG Qualifying Tournament, T31 in Windaroo Lakes ALPG Pro-Am and T10 in Findex Yamba Pro-Am.

Astha was 44that ALPG Qualifying Tournament, T69 at Windaroo Lakes ALPG Pro-Am and T20 in Findex Yamba Pro-Am.

Diksha and Astha will play another 36-hole Pro-Am Ballarat Icons Pro-Am later this week on the weekend.

Diksha continues to be Reserve No. 1 in the Vic Open, an event, co-sanctioned with the LPGA and is No. 4 for the Australian Women’s Open, also co-sanctioned with the LPGA.

Belgian Manon de Roey, who is still looking for her maiden win on Ladies European Tour, had a good 2019 with four Top-10 finishes, including in France (T5), Canberra (T6) Hero Womens Indian Open (T9) and Kenya Open (T9) got her season off a nice start with rounds of 71-69 for a total of 140.

Dottie Ardina of the Philippines (70-70) was second, while Paige Stubbs (70-71) was third.

The Belgian overcame a sudden-death playoff to beat Dottie Ardina at the second playoff hole. On the first playoff hole De Roey bravely holed a par putt from 13-14 feet metres to match Ardina’s par. The both players missed the green in regulation at the difficult 18th hole in the second play-off hole. De Roey holed out magnificently from a greenside bunker to take the title.

Ardina had a two-shot lead going into today's second and final round and was three ahead with two holes to. She finished bogey-double bogey and then lost in the play-off.

The ALPG Tour now heads to Victoria for the final ALPG Club Car Series Pro-am for 2020, the Ballarat Icons ALPG Pro-am that will be held at Ballarat Golf Club on Feb 1-2.
